America’s Cup Tragedy, Challenger Artemis AC72 Capsized

One of the two Artemis racing catamarans flipped today during practice near Treasure Island in winds that were gusting from 22 to 31 knots. Paramedics were seen treating two crew members that were reported seriously injured at the St. Francis Yacht Club. One crew member was reported dead a short time afterwards. Our hearts go out to the family of the lost sailor and to the team at Artemis.
