ENGINES: TWIN YAMAHA 225HP OUTBOARDS
The Barracuda 9 features the Beneteau patented Airstep hull design, which ducts air through the hull and directs it under the transom creating an air cushion that reduces drag and increases performance and maneuverability. The Air Step hull holds the air with specially formed channels inside the chines but does not impede the flow of solid water to the outboards and propellers.
The twin 225 HP outboards at 4000rpm cruise easily at 37mph with fuel consumption at 1.6mpg. Wide open it reaches top speed of about 50mph. The boat goes quickly onto plane with minimal bow rise and rides easily even at high cruising speeds.
