The Lagoon 40 catamaran is a comfortable and easily managed catamaran. For 40′ it has has good living space with a large built-in saloon dining area that easily seats 6. This 3 cabin, 2 head boat has been meticulously maintained with regular maintenance and is a turnkey opportunity. Maintenance records are available.
The 40 is built with vacuum-infusion construction and balsa coring in the deck and the hull above the waterline to reduce the weight and make her more sprightly to sail.
The 40 design has the angular design of the new models with bigger windows and portholes for more light. The saloon windows are vertical (Lagoon trademark) but stretched to give the boat a streamlined look.
The cockpit is spacious and comfortable with built-in dining and a large u-shaped seat and bench seat. There is a full set of cushions for the cockpit and a double upholstered helm seat with cover. There is a full set of electronics at the helm station.

On Deck
The mast has been moved aft in this design which shortens the boom and makes the main easier to handle. It allows for a bigger foresail and a self tacking jib. This new design feature makes her easy for short handed sailing. Getting around the deck is safe with plenty of handrails to grab onto and recessed hatches.
The Lagoon 40 is surprisingly good upwind and great fun off the wind with the larger headsail.
