Private Sailing Lessons & Certifications

Combines Comprehensive On-Line Learning with Private On-The-Water Sailing Lessons

Research shows that on average, students retain 25-60% more material when learning online compared to only 8-10% in a classroom.

Why we only do private sailing lessons: Typical weekend sailing courses have you sitting in a classroom for 50% of the time. The other 50% you’re on the water, taking what you just heard and applying it so you can pass on Sunday.

People do pass, but the number of people who feel confident in their skills or remember what they learned after the course, are few. So they sign up for the next course and the next course just to get to a basic competency.

Lack of confidence is the biggest obstacle to feeling secure sailing your own boat We often see new buyers who have taken traditional sailing classes requiring more confidence building and fine tuning of basic skills like docking and maneuvering under power. We developed our private sailing lesson offerings so you can work at your own speed and focus on the areas you need to refine.
